Mama’s New Look featuring Ageless Derma

Disclosure: I received product to sample. Opinions shared here are 100% mine.

I’ve used several Ageless Derma products in the past. I’m especially excited to try the Ageless Derma Anti-Aging Intensive Skin Brightener again. The formula is now an all-new combination of natural ingredients paired with bio-engineered properties that are supposed to lighten the skin without any harmful side effects. Although I don’t really have freckles or age spots yet, I have noticed a difference in my skin pigmentation on areas where I’ve recently had a blemish. I’m anxious to try Ageless Derma to see if this will lighten my skin. It’s great that they use no parabens or harsh chemicals in their products. Additionally, the skin brightener is formulated in the USA. It is not tested on animals.  [Read more…]

A few weekends ago, my family was in Nashville for a competition in which my daughter participated.  We tried to make the most of the trip by hitting some of the tourist spots like the Opryland Hotel (pics of that to come!)  My mom drove down from Kentucky to spend the day with us, since Nashville was a closer drive than the regular 7 hours she would travel to our home.  The kids asked if we could go to the Opry Mills Mall, and we thought, Why not?   Let me tell you, I felt like a regular country bumpkin after visiting that place. It was unreal.  The crowds were unbelievable and the stores.  Oh my, the stores!!  I used to be able to shop ’til I dropped, but after having kids I’m just not used to shopping in a “real” mall, especially in the part of Tennessee where we live.   Trying to keep both families together and happy the entire time meant that I didn’t get to do any real shopping; mostly we just walked around and looked in the doorways as we passed. Today we went back to school after our unexpected not-so-mini break.  Last week we were out of school for 3 days due to snow.  Add in the weekend and we had a nice 5 days off.  We called it our SnowCation since we pretty much stayed indoors all 5 days.  My son was a little under the weather earlier in the week, so keeping him home without having to miss days at work was a blessing.  We didn’t even venture outdoors until Friday afternoon; even then it was for a quick dinner and then back home.   [Read more…]

I basically want coverups for everything

Maybe it’s my age. It could also be my exhaustion level. Whatever the reason, I basically want coverups for everything.  I’m not talking about swimsuit coverups, although there’s a time and place for that in my life, too.  I mean that the imperfections in my home and on my body are not getting any better, so I’d like to just toss a sheet over them and move on.  For example, there is a spot in the dining room from the time my son decided to smear his Nutella-encrusted hands on the wall. I cleaned the worst of it off but until we repaint the room, it’s going to look like a big poo stain. Gross. So I covered it up with a Christmas banner. Don’t tell anybody. That’s the way things get done (or not) around here these days. [Read more…]
