There are a few things in life that brighten my hubby’s eyes like a good meal. Spending a relaxing day with the family makes him smile.  Other happy moments include spoiling the dog with a good belly rub….taking a drive to look at the autumn leaves….and a big plate of BBQ ribs. When I told him that Ryan’s is bringing back Slow Roasted Baby Back Ribs (through October 25), his eyes lit right up!  In fact, he wants to head there tonight for dinner (at our Ryan’s, the ribs are available after 3:30 PM).  Head to the Ryan’s website to find a location near you.  You’ll be eating well!

Whenever we go to Ryan’s, my kids check out the family room to see if there’s something going on. That’s because every Thursday is Family Night at Ryan’s. They’ve got a real treat for the kids this summer. Starting July 2, 2015 and continuing weekly until August 31, 2015, the restaurants will offer an assortment of fun props for Family Night. These include tiger headbands, elephant and other Jungle-inspired headpieces that will transform families into their favorite wildlife creatures. The Go Wild! Jungle Fun Dress-Up accessories will be available for use every Thursday night from 5 to 8 p.m. at participating restaurants. Dinner guests can take pictures of their jungle-dressed kids and make quality, precious memories that they can keep forever. Recently my family enjoyed a complimentary meal at the Ryan’s restaurant in Greeneville, TN.  While we were there, we noticed the Table for the Missing Man.  This symbolic table represents the hole in our hearts, the space reserved for those missing in action.  Coming from a military family, I knew that there was always the possibility that the soldier wouldn’t come home.   My step-father served overseas in several tours; although I was young and didn’t always recognize the dangers that he faced, I realized that he was making a huge sacrifice so that I could enjoy freedom.  The Missing Man table is a beautiful tribute to those who were lost while they served, and shows that we are still waiting for them to come home.  Every Monday, Ryan’s offers a military appreciation discount, but there was more in store!

It’s always a good night when we get to enjoy dinner at Ryan’s Steakhouse in Greeneville, TN. We drive about 45 minutes to eat there, but it’s worth it! Now through April 3, you can enjoy Seafood Fridays at Ryans, Hometown Buffet, and Old Country Buffet.
