I love when things come in pretty packages, don’t you?  The Apothederm Brightening Cleanser arrived tissue-wrapped and with a cute little mirror.  These little details always make me feel as if I’m opening a special gift.

Apothederm products are paraben and phthalate free.  They don’t contain pore-clogging ingredients, or anything that releases formaldehyde.  Because really, would you want that on your skin?  The photo below is proof that Apothederm readily absorbs into skin.  In the picture on the bottom left, you’ll see that I spread some of the cleanser (no water) on the back of my hand. Within 30 seconds, the cleanser had almost disappeared.  When I tried it with water, it did get sudsy and left my skin super clean. I didn’t feel the tight, dry feeling that sometimes follows my cleansing routine.

I also had a little blemish that is trying to make its presence known.  I dabbed a bit of the Acne Clarifying Treatment on the spot.  The soreness around that area was noticeably diminished after a couple of hours.  By the next morning, the blemish was smaller and not at all red.  That’s a great sign! It was easy to cover up with some concealer. I added a bit more of the Acne Treatment and within an hour the soreness was gone, too.  My husband suffers from painful below-the-skin acne; I’ll encourage him to try this product to see if it helps him, too!
