I won an advance copy of The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle over a year ago, but put off reading it because of 400+ pages. It just seemed like a huge commitment. In the interest of whittling down my toppling TBR list, I finally unearthed the book from its hiding place in the book closet and started reading it about a week ago. I was right — this book did require some commitment. It was so worth it, though. It gets 5 stars from me!

Last year around this time, I was introduced to Charlie Hernandez. He became a constant topic of conversation around our house, much in the same way as Harry Potter and Percy Jackson have been.
