Have you been looking for non-candy Valentine’s Day gifts for your kids? Consider these sweet treats that are totally sugar-free!
In order to foster a loving sibling relationship, I try to help my kids prepare little surprises for each other. It doesn’t always work, but it’s great when it does!
When we opened up the Kids Kit “Growing in Grace” from Family Christian, my daughter instantly remarked that it would be perfect for her 5-year-old brother. I was delighted with her thoughtfulness! He was taking a nap at the time, so we peeked at the set without his knowledge. She decided to save it for his Valentine’s Day gift. Inside the activity book, she wrote a little dedication to him. The kit contains two sheets of stickers, a couple of dual-tipped crayons, and a fun CD to enjoy. We listened to the songs and knew that he would have fun listening to them. The songs are upbeat and easy to sing to. I also love that this kit comes in a hard case. It’s perfect for taking on a road trip, when you could sing along to the music while keeping your child entertained! It’s also great for balancing on a small lap during the long church sermon. The activity sheets are easy enough for a pre-K child to a 1st grader to do without much assistance. At under $7, this is a great price for a small gift, too!
Our whole family enjoys the Duck Commander show. If you haven’t seen it, you’re really missing out! The moral values and life lessons that are presented in each episode might seem lighthearted, but they are truly rooted in a family of faith. I was excited to see the new Duck Commander Devotions for Kids. The short messages are perfect to read together on a busy morning or quiet evening. The Robertson clan is always good for a laugh, and this devotions book doesn’t miss the mark! Korie Robertson has a hand in the authorship of the book. I respect her parenting style and role as a Christian wife, so the book was relevant for me, too. Depending on the ages of your children, you could use this book as a way to focus on scripture throughout the week. If your kids are Duck Dynasty fans, get their attention by reading about the antics of the show’s characters. This would make a great addition to your church library, too, if you don’t have kids at home. It’s a sturdy hardcover book that deserves a place on your favorite bookshelf!
