No compost? No problem. John & Bob’s to the rescue!

You all know that I’m on a super gardening kick.  The idea of growing my family’s food is so fascinating to me!   Unfortunately I live in the valley of East Tennessee where the soil is all clay. An ambitious person could probably build a house out of the bricks in my backyard.   Raised beds can be a solution, but it’s often expensive and time-consuming to get the beds started.  I have a few containers started, too, but it would really be a blessing to be able to use the soil we already have.  When I heard about John & Bob’s soil optimizing products, I had to learn more.  The basis behind their company is that you don’t NEED a truckload of topsoil or wheelbarrows of compost to have beautiful soil.  By adding the simple soil amendments from John & Bob’s, you can utilize and maximize the soil that’s already in your garden spot!  They offer a powerhouse of nutrients in a small package, which leaves a smaller carbon footprint everywhere.   This not only saves time and money but also backbreaking labor.  It’s as easy as one click to find the soil kit you need for your specific soil type.

I received several products from John & Bob’s.  The Penetrate (shown in the bottles below) breaks up our hard soil just by spraying it in.  We don’t have a tiller, so it’s next to impossible to sift through that dirt otherwise.  It’s amazing how much of a difference one product can make!    There were excellent instructions sent along with our products so I knew step-by-step how to apply the products.  I am thrilled that I won’t have to haul bags of soil into the areas where I want to plant flower seeds and bulbs this fall.  The optimizer is easy peasy, too.  It was as simple as sprinkling it in then letting the water wash over it.  Knowing that it’s safe for my kids and pets is also important to me, so I’m grateful that John & Bob’s have taken care of that, too.  Note that getting the maximum results from very problematic soil, you do need to use all four of the John & Bob’s products together.  MAXIMIZE and NOURISH-Biosol are also very important, which I didn’t use yet.

John & Bob’s recently introduced three new products to their already incredible line-up.  All organic insect/pest control called Enviro-Repel 40; a fungicide called Citral Blast and a Rose fungicide/pesticide called Rose & Soil Defender are the new friends you  need for your garden.  The ultimate multitaskers, these products do their job while improving the soil at the same time.  John tells me that all pest and disease problems are related to the soil.   Knowing that using a natural product can also help me to improve the soil while getting rid of the pests that will endanger my plants is a win-win, wouldn’t you say?

What kind of soil do you have in your yard?   Which John & Bob’s product would most benefit you?

    • Hi Shelley! They all work wonderfully on indoor plants! You don’t need to change out the soil or repot them. Just sprinkle the products right on tops. See more here:

  8. I need to try some soil optimizing products. I live in North Carolina, not too far from East Tennessee, and every time I try to grow something I kill it. It’s probably my fault, but as long as I can find an excuse to blame something else, I will. 😉
