Happy Father’s Day, everyone! I hope this day is full of love for you. My father passed away last year, and even though we weren’t in contact for 20 years, I still think of him with love on this day.

I gave my husband the copy of Israel God’s Heart a few weeks ago as an early Father’s Day gift.

My guy is enthralled with Biblical history and loves to watch documentaries about the Bible lands.  Though I have no doubt that he’d enjoy a trip to Israel, it’s not likely that he’ll go.  He dreads flying in airplanes, and hot weather doesn’t make him smile.  He’d much rather admire the landscapes from home.  That makes this book perfect for him!

He really enjoyed the photos and background information in this book.  Each glossy page has a visual wonder in store, bright and colorful.  Interesting facts and captions provide insight into each image.  I was surprised with how beautiful it is in that area; I guess I’d always imagined a barren desert.  How wrong I was!  Imagining Jesus and his followers walking through this beautiful land makes it all seem more real to me.  The vivid rainbows of vegetation, homes, and people turn this book into a real treasure.  Take a look at the flipbook below to experience Israel – God’s Heart for yourself.

Where do you dream of traveling?

  1. I lost my dad last year too, so I can relate. Your gift to your husband looks very nice. Great looking book! Biblical history really is fascinating.

  2. What a nice book! I’ve always envisioned only dry, hot desert as well. I would love to see Israel, but I don’t really think that will happen for me either. This book looks like the second best thing though! I’m so sorry to hear that you lost your father last year. Teresa

This looks like a beautiful book/country. I would love to travel to the Holy Land but I doubt it will happen.

  4. I’d also love to travel to Israel, Egypt, etc. one day! In the meantime I will check out this book!
