Today a colleague and I discussed our recent favorite reads. We agreed that the Young Adult genre has really improved over the past few years. I remember heading to the bookstore a few years ago to buy the first Twilight book. I snuck in a little sheepishly because I felt so silly going into the Young Adult section! By the time I finished the first one, I raced back to buy the rest of the books in the series (at that time there were only 3 books.) That was the first Young Adult book I really bought with purpose. Since then, the quality of Young Adult books has dramatically improved. In fact, I much prefer them over the “beach books” I used to read. I’m not a big fan of romance novels so the books I read must have something a bit more substantial to hold my interest. Enhanced is a good example of a book that kept me thinking. I hope you like it, too!

I love the biology background! The romance aspect here is particularly interesting to me. 🙂
It interests me when they start “One powerful doctor decides which kids get to grow up, and which will disappear.”
I think it is going to be an action filled book as genetics play a role and there will be lots of power struggles. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity. Keep up the terrific blogging.

I love that this book is a combo of dystopian/sci-fi and romance! It looks great to me and since you gave it such rave reviews, I can’t wait to read it!
