Creativity is a muscle that must be exercised. When you were little, did you love to express yourself through your writing and doodles? I sure did! The Disney Tangled Dreamer in Me secret journal from Parragon is the perfect platform for such fancy thoughts!
The journal has a beautiful purple glitter cover. Inside, each page is full-color and contains lots of fun illustrations. The prompts are engaging, filled with positive energy and forward thinking. It’s actually a place to record DREAMS, which is a cool concept to share with kids! Some pages include hands-on activities such as cutting out bookmarks or folding object templates. It might sound like a simple way to connect, but how fun to do this with a creative mind! Additionally, it teaches children how to follow directions and evaluate a final product.
Rapunzel is a wonderful face for this journal because her story is so inspiring. She refused to be held by the walls of her tower. Instead, she used art and imagination to explore her mind’s journeys. Even her adventures were full of wonder and the thrill of living. Why not share this lovely book with a sweet, creative young person in your life?
One thing that bothered me about the secret journal is the fact that it’s quite tightly bound. This makes it difficult to lay it flat against a table. When drawing and writing, it’s necessary to hold the book down with one hand. A spiral binding might improve this problem.
