Go back to a time when ladies were still ladies and people shared calling cards. The Wild West had calmed down a bit and Diana was ready to start her life. The only thing she was missing was the love of her young life, Tyson Applegate. Being a politician’s wife would be a strain on anyone but Diana has some doubts about the rightness of it all. This book really covers the spectrum of a historical novel. From suspense, to fiction, to total drama, this book has it all. I did not read the first two books in this series but that didn’t really hinder my enjoyment of Beloved .
As I read this book, I wasn’t sure who I wanted to cheer for. I like that bit of uncertainty in a book; it keeps me interested. Beloved also reminded me of the resourcefulness a woman had to employ in centuries past. In a world where women were dependent upon men to care for them, Diana was decidedly an independent mind. I liked that about her! This book also touched my heart with a message of love, forgiveness, and grace. The author, Robin Lee Hatcher, has a gift of making the words just fly off the page and into my mind. I could picture all of the scenes and conversations. Overall, this was a good read and I”m happy that I was able to participate in the book tour for Beloved.
This is a very interesting book to read because it has a great story and it has love and forgiveness as a story in this book. I like books that have a good story with meaning, and I would like to read this book. I like Historical Novels.
I like historical fiction and this sounds like a good read. There were actually many independent women in the wild west days – it was often the only choice.
sounds like a great read – love the time period!
It appears to be a great book for my wife
