Jeopardy is one of my favorite game shows! It’s fun to learn obscure trivia, and every once in a while I can even get a question right. Some sections are similar to a textbook, with fill-in-the-blank maps and self-test quizzes. I think this would be very helpful in a homeschool curriculum or a Sunday School class. The reading isn’t too difficult, nor is it over-simplified. It’s really just enough information to provide the reader with a solid understanding of Biblical terms and history.
This is the perfect book for non-Christians who want to learn a bit about the history behind the Bible. The information is presented in an academic way, not in a preachy tone.
It’s recommended to spend 15 minutes each day with 30 Days to Understanding the Bible to get maximum benefit from the book. If you’re already familiar with the Bible, you might find yourself skipping ahead to the more complicated topics, such as the parables of Jesus, or important relationships between concepts.
