A few weeks ago, I shared our new-to-us popup camper. Just a few days after we purchased it, the air conditioner went out on it so we weren’t able to take it out again. The temps have been reaching the 90+ range around here, and I’m a glamper! My sweet hubs purchased all the needed materials to fix it; we just haven’t had time to get to it. In the meantime, I’ve been thinking about our camper makeover plans.

I absolutely hate painting, so I might go with a wood-look countertop instead of painting over the one we have. This adhesive peel and stick wallpaper might work….not sure how it will hold up if it gets wet.

Spending a fortune on high-end fabric makes zero sense for our El Cheapo camper. I just want it to be pretty. Fabric tablecloths are the way to go, I think. This one is a gorgeous color scheme, but my family may not be keen.

It’s been too difficult to pass up good deals on storage and organization items. Things like this stainless steel soap holder can serve many uses. It could be a bedside catchall for a phone, glasses, or even a set of keys. So convenient.

This lightweight, slim desk lamp is easy to pack, so it’s perfect for travel. We don’t have many electrical outlets in the camper, and I don’t like to keep extension cords plugged in everywhere. They can sometimes be a tripping hazard. I love how the LED desk lamp charges with a USB cable, so we can use the plug we already have for our phones. Very convenient! It’s great for keeping in the corner for a bit of reading after the kids have fallen asleep. The power button is touch-sensitive. There’s currently a $5 coupon available, making this less than $10!

I’ll try to take lots of pictures so you can follow along with our camper remodel!

  1. […] Last summer we purchased a 2004 popup camper for our camping trips (after our travel trailer was stolen from our driveway). The popup needs some TLC. The air conditioner gave up on our first trip — during a very hot July 4th weekend — and there are a lot of cosmetic things we want to do to make it a little prettier. In preparation for this year’s camping trips, we started working on it over the past few weeks. […]
