My kids love to eat scrambled eggs any time of day. We often have breakfast-for-supper because it’s a quick meal that they’ll definitely enjoy. The cleanup is usually minimal with that meal, except for the egg pan. I really despise cleaning the egg pan. Inevitably I let the eggs sit a bit too long on the pan and it gets completely baked on like a souffle. The pan has to be soaked and then it just looks disgusting when all the egg gunk is finally soft enough to scrape off the bottom of the pan. When I received the Ozeri pan to review, I wasn’t sure if the nonstick surface would be enough to keep me from the dreaded egg bake.

My former so-called nonstick pans really should have been called peel-your-food-off-the-top pans.   Perhaps the nonstick surface just decided to give up after one too many baked-on meals.  In any case, the Ozeri stainless steel skillet really did the trick.  I received the 10″ pan which was the perfect size to make our scrambled egg entree.  We used about 8 eggs (yes, that’s a lot of eggs) and it held that amount with no problem.  The best part was that the pan completely released the eggs and I didn’t have to soak it in the end!! It went right into the dishwasher and came out as happy as could be.   Next I’ll be attempting omelets.  Maybe I’ll even tackle crepes.  Oh, the opportunities are endless with the Ozeri stainless steel pan!

The cool thing about this pan is that it doesn’t have the nasty chemical makeup that some other nonstick surfaces use.  It’s also got a pretty, sleek look.  I loved the shiny surface of the bottom part of the pan.  I’d love to have an entire set.  They’re pretty enough to display on a pot rack.   Plus, I won’t have to worry about baked on egg residue showing if they’re hanging out on the rack.
