On My Bookshelf: Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska

When I agreed to participate in this book tour, I really had no idea how much I would LOVE this book.
I’ve read one other book by Tricia Goyer and while it was a good story, I’m just not really into Amish romance books.  The main reason I enjoyed Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska is the story-within-a-story appeal.  The main character, Ginny, is at a crossroads in her career and personal life.  Who hasn’t had to make choices about the future?  Even if the reader doesn’t relate to Ginny’s high-profile status as a famous musician, we’ve all been faced with life-changing decisions at one point in our lives.  Even though you feel like you might know what will happen at the end of the story, I can just about guarantee that you don’t.  The beauty of the book is the stash of old letters Ginny takes up reading.  The letters chronicle a long-lost past that Ginny feels inexplicably drawn to.  I loved learning more about the Alaskan way of life, from salmon fishing to running from bears.  I’m fascinated by the idea of living by the land and being self-sufficient.   Now I’m thinking of picking up a few more of the Love Finds You books! If you’re interested in reading this book, check back on February 14. I’ll be participating in the “For the Love of Swoon” giveaway and one winner will receive a copy of this book. It’s no big irony that the giveaway starts on Valentine’s Day, either! 🙂
