Fall is one of the best times to visit Northeast Tennessee because the changing leaves are absolutely stunning!    If you’re looking for a unique place to visit with lots of family-friendly activity options, you’ve got to check out Northeast Tennessee.  We’ll be visiting some local attractions over the next couple of weeks and I can’t wait to share the experience with you.  Be sure to follow me on social media so you can see all of the fun options you have in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.  Thanks to US Family Guide for providing us with a great itinerary!

Some of the places on our checklist are new to us.  I’ve driven by Parrot Mountain several times and wondered what it’s all about.  My kids love all things wildlife so I know they’ll really get into the information they learn there.   Many friends have told me how fabulous Dixie Stampede is.  I’m thrilled that we’ll get to enjoy it!  It’s a dinner show that’s not to be believed.  We absolutely love Ripley’s Aquarium; it’s a new experience every time.  My daughter has been begging to go visit the Titanic Museum again, so we’re really looking forward to that day.  We’ll also get to crash at the Wilderness at the Smokies, which boasts an indoor water park that is available only to resort guests and is included with the stay!  I love that all of these attractions are relatively near each other.  That’s one of the best things about traveling in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg; there’s so much to do within a short distance.  We often park in a paid lot then walk to the activities around town.  It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful fall weather, too!    While we’re visiting these locations, I’ll be sure to share our experience with you via Facebook and Twitter.  That way you can plan your trip, too!

  4. I’d love to visit back East and see the Fall colors. We mostly have yellows here in Colorado (but very pretty).

I’ve never been to Tennessee. I picture it in my head with lots of hills and forests. I would love the Titanic museum!
