Did you see the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Okay, now picture that story in a book. You’ve pretty much got the vision of A Bouquet of Love .

That’s not to say that the book isn’t original, because there are lots of totally quirky moments that make this book stand out! You’ll have moments where you laugh out loud at the funny familial scenes. Then there will be moments when you want to scream at Cassia and tell her to get a backbone. I didn’t come from a family where togetherness and tradition were part of the culture, so it was hard for me to relate to the situation in which Cassia found herself. However, from a parent’s standpoint I got very frustrated with Cassia’s parents. I hope that my children won’t feel that I’m imposing my own hopes and dreams on their lives.

There weren’t a lot of unexpected endings in this book.  What you see in the first few chapters is pretty much what you get.  But you know what?  It’s kind of nice to cozy up with a book that just makes reading fun.  The background characters were enjoyable as well.  A Bouquet of Love is $4.99 for the Kindle and I think that’s a pretty good bargain for the perfect Saturday snuggle-read.
