Baby Fresh Cleanser……keeping it clean!

Moms, let me ask you……How much do you (or did you) spend per month on baby wipes?  I have always been frustrated with how much baby wipes cost, knowing that my husband goes through about 40 of them per diaper change.   Then we have the issue of the stinky diaper.  There’s not a lot you can do about that, and then if you add the risk of diaper rash on top of it, you can’t even procrastinate the inevitable.   I received Baby Fresh Cleanser to sample and was interested to see if the product would make the whole diaper-changing process a little less unpleasant for me and my kiddo.  It was formulated by a mom, and you all know I love to support small businesses and MOM businesses. I was excited to give it a try.

Basically, Baby Fresh works by reducing odor-causing bacteria. You spray it on BEFORE you wipe away the ick.  It makes the mess easier to clean up and helps with the odor as well.  You don’t have to use as many wipes either.  Baby Fresh leaves behind a protective aloe barrier so that it can help prevent diaper rash, too.  It is really an Earth-friendly option, especially when you consider that it contains 88% organic ingredients.  I found no sulfates or parabens in the ingredients list, so yay!!

My son is 3 years old and really should be potty-trained, so I am willing to try anything to get the diaper-changing routine down to a minimum.  He wasn’t happy about sitting still for the recommended 10 seconds that Baby Fresh requires to do its work.  Maybe if he were a little younger and this was our regular procedure it wouldn’t have been such a big deal for him.  I did notice that we used fewer wipes.  If you use your own cloths instead of wipes, I think this would be waaaaay easier to use than a homemade cleanser, because it is super effective and lasts a really long time.  The website says it should last approximately 1 1/2 months, which seems like a great deal for the price!  One thing I liked is that the mist doesn’t go everywhere, because I was a bit concerned about my son inhaling the solution while we used it.  My little guy has really sensitive skin and didn’t have any reaction to the Baby Fresh cleanser.  It does contain fragrance and dyes, so if your child is sensitive to those ingredients you might want to test it out first to be sure it will work for you.  You do not have to rinse it off (another plus!)    I’m also curious about using it myself on my more intimate areas.  Wonder if it would be a good, inexpensive option for personal hygiene?  Sorry, maybe that is TMI.

Overall, I think Baby Fresh Cleanser is a good option for those who want to avoid using too many commercial wipes and wanting a safe alternative to chemical-laden cleansers.   Watch for specials—–in December there was a BOGO sale!
