The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain #ReadtheDream @StMartinsPress @SheSpeaksUp

Disclosure: I received a free book from the publisher. Opinions shared are mine.

My daughter gets frustrated when I guess how a story will end.  The summary often gives away most of the plot, and it’s typically easy to guess how a story might play out.  At first, I thought The Dream Daughter would be that way.  It seems quite clear from the first few chapters.  Keep reading, though, friends.  I learned through this book that author Diane Chamberlain has a few tricks up her sleeve.  This is a book not to be missed!

We just got back from our family’s first trip to Universal Studios Orlando.  I was so entranced by Diagon Alley and Hogwarts that everything has me thinking about Harry Potter right now.  Back in the real world tonight, I prepared spaghetti for dinner.  Taking the box of noodles out of the cabinet made me think of Ollivander’s wand shelves.  We’re doing a Potterathon weekend (just to keep the magic going a little longer) and when I saw baby Harry wrapped up on the Dursley’s porch, I thought it looked like he was wrapped up in a Berlin plaid blanket scarf.     [Read more…]
