Savings in Seconds is excited to partner with Restaurant.com for a giveaway that’s sure to get your mouth watering! Restaurant.com brings people together to relax, converse and enjoy well-prepared and -served meals at affordable prices. The site features restaurants from all over the country and offers high-value discounts on meals. Most restaurant options offer a variety of coupons available so you can select the one that best suits your needs. To date, Restaurant.com customers have saved more than $1 billion through the gift certificate program. Restaurant.com has operated since 1999 and is based in Arlington Heights, Ill.
The site offers what they call “gift certificates” but it’s really more like a discounted coupon. For example, you can purchase a $25 gift certificate toward a meal at Restaurant X but you’ll have to purchase a minimum of $35 in food/drinks to use the certificate. Be sure to read the details and minimum requirements!! Often you’re required to dine in the restaurant; take-out orders are not eligible for certificate redemption. The site is easy to search. I usually start searching by zip code then once I find a restaurant, I check the fine print to see which of the minimum values will work for our family. It’s also a great deal if you’re treating family and friends to a meal. There are usually deep discounts on the certificates. You’ll definitely want to subscribe to the Restaurant.com newsletter since they’ll email you when there’s a discount code available. That brings the price of the certificates down in a huge way! These are excellent to take on vacation. Before you head out for your trip, check Restaurant.com for the places you might want to eat. You don’t even have to print out the certificates; just show them to your server on your smartphone and you should be able to redeem them that way! If you end up not using them, you can always request a credit for the certificate.
We’ve purchased many of these certificates in the past. While our local restaurants don’t seem to offer a lot of options, we can always find lots of certificates for our favorite vacation spots. Myrtle Beach seems to have a lot of certificates available, as does Orlando. Some of our best meals have been enjoyed with help from Restaurant.com, which helped to take $25 and $50 off our total bill. If we find that our bill won’t meet the minimum, we usually add a dessert or sometimes an extra entree to the order to get us over the minimum. Then we take that extra entree home and save it for the next day’s lunch. Occasionally a restaurant will stop participating in the program before I have a chance to use the certificate. In that case, I email Restaurant.com and request a credit. They are so easy to work with and I’ve always been very pleased by their customer service. We’ve enjoyed many meals that would have been outside of our budget if we didn’t have a gift certificate from Restaurant.com. I’m sure you’ll find one that you want to use, too!
One lucky winner will receive a $100 gift certificate for Restaurant.com. That translates to a $40 retail value. This giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law.
