Alphabet app for kids

After my recent post on apps for kids, I got to try another cool tool for kids. This one is from Kid’s Academy Company and is an interactive ABC app.  One of the things I liked best is NO ADS!  The app also doesn’t encourage kids to go on Facebook or other social networks.  My kids know that they’re not supposed to be on those sites, but it’s still tempting for them when they are playing a game and then prompted to click on something else. This app is so kid-friendly.  The images are very simple and clean.  They have fun animation that kept my son entertained.   It takes a while for the pages to load (just a few seconds) so my son’s patience was a bit tattered after playing with it for a few minutes.  The music is a little annoying…..you can turn it off on the parents’ “Setting” page.   Those are just the little things though.  The basic idea on this app is to teach your child the alphabet in a fun way.  For my son, who isn’t really interested in learning his alphabet, this is teaching through the back door of his brain.  He has a great memory and apps like this really turn on a light bulb for him.  I like the stats page for parents so that you can monitor your child’s progress.  Overall, this is one of my favorite apps for making learning fun!

If you have an  iPod touch, iPad, or iPhone, apps like this one from Kid’s Academy Company are a budget-friendly way to get an educational toy without spending a bundle.  Rather than buying a separate game, you can just use the device you already have and enjoy this alphabet app for kids.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
