A few days ago, I shared my review of Best Day Ever by Kaira Rouda. The book reminded me a little of The Widow or maybe The Breakdown. It’s touted as a psychological thriller, but you might agree more with the psycho part. This book was attached to my left arm for the entire day that I read it. My friends kept telling me that the easiest part of having kids was the birth experience, and they were right. Many aspects of parenting have gotten easier. My kids can get ready for school without assistance, and they can fend for themselves if I don’t feel like cooking supper. In some ways, though, they need my protection more than ever. Their online presence has newly surfaced, thanks to cell phones and laptops and 1-to-1 device ratios at school. My children are curious about Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and texting their friends. I breathed a sigh of relief when my husband took over the taxes. Not because I didn’t know how to file them (thank you, tax software!) but it was just one less thing to keep up with. Far be it from me to complain when he starts asking me for receipts, forms, and other papers that should have been organized long ago are probably sitting in a folder somewhere. Since I’m an NCircle Entertainment ambassador, each month brings a delightful DVD right to my door (disclosure!!) As always, opinions shared are mine. As I’ve said before, the kids and I have a bit of a trek to school/work every day. We spend about an hour in the car together. We use that time to chat and discuss all things big and small. Several times a week, we listen to an audiobook. My kids love The Action Bible because it’s completely unlike the other children’s Bibles they’ve read before. This one is exciting and sometimes shocking. I was excited to get The Action Storybook Bible from Litfuse because we enjoyed The Action Bible so much. Opinions shared are mine.
