Welcome to the Lucky Little Ones giveaway hop! This event is hosted by  Irresistibly Green, Just Add Cloth, Our Piece of Earth plus some awesome parenting bloggers. This hop is all about your little infants and toddlers who are sure to be a lucky charm this spring. Each blog is offering a baby or toddler related prize valued at $20 or more for you to win for your lucky little one.  After you enter my giveaway, check out the grand prize. One lucky winner will receive over $240 worth of eco-friendly baby gear!

The reader who wins the Savings in Seconds giveaway will receive a copy of I Will Trust God (DVD) and A Bed for Fred
(hardcover book).

You might remember that I shared A Bed For Fred as a book to read when your little one is ready to transition to a “big kid” bed. It’s a great way to present the change as an adventure, rather than as something to fear. As we all know, most children value routines and consistency. Moving to a big kid bed can be a little scary at first, but through lovable Fred children can experience the excitement of getting a new bed.

We received the DVD titled “I Will Trust God” featuring Hermie the Caterpillar and friends. Written by Max Lucado, this story reminds kids that God doesn’t make mistakes. Anytime I can encourage my children, helping them to appreciate their God-given talents, it’s a good day. When children experience self-doubt, it’s important to build them back up. Through Hermie, children learn that trusting God means that we don’t always know the answers. We do know, though, who holds the answers. And that is enough. My kids loved watching Hermie and his friends this month. The songs are catchy and the star-studded cast (included Tim Conway as Hermie) was endearing. The subtle humor makes the video enjoyable for adults to watch, too. I asked my kids if they preferred the adult voices to the bugs, rather than kids’ voices, and they agreed that they liked the video just the way it is. When I asked my daughter about the movie, she said it really helped her to understand God’s view of people. I think that sums it up better than I ever could!

I trusted God when my daughter was very ill. She was in the hospital for weeks, and He was there to give us strength and to guide the doctors.

I love the variety in products that Tommy Nelson offers. They covers the entire age range of the children in my family.

We teach our children to have faith in God by incorporating our faith and faith based talks into routine activities. Also, we emphasize prayer. The need for it and how it grows us.

My twin boys were born 6 weeks early and were very sick. One of my boys was taken away from me to another hospital for more specialized care and I didn’t see him for two days. Over the next several years, we were met with many medical challenges. When your child is very sick for so long it’s very very hard to trust in God, you wonder why he would let this be. However, I had to keep my faith and know that His plan would get us through.

I haven’t had to teach my daughter faith yet, she is still very little. I hope to teach her how to have faith in God by example!

I trusted God when I had my esophageal cancer surgery. Lungs collapsed, got blood clot in lung and got pneumonia 2 days after the surgery. I was in a medically induced coma for 3 wks afterwards. The drs told my family I probably wouldnt make it. I was on ventilator for 3 wks also. I pulled thru and am now 3 yrs cancer free. It was in Gods hands!!
