Welcome to the Summer Reads giveaway hop! This event is hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup.   Now that summer’s in full swing, have you made a dent in your TBR pile?  Or have you been playing outside in the sunshine?  Come in out of the heat and enter some giveaways!  Each participating blog features the blogger’s favorites PLUS offering a giveaway so visit them all!  The icing on the cake is the Grand Prize giveaway happening too.

Two readers will receive a prize at Savings in Seconds.  Please note that I received copies of these books to review; this post contains affiliate links. Prize #1 is a paperback copy of The Butterfly and the Violin, courtesy of Litfuse Publicity.  Prize #2 is The Lord’s Prayer board book, courtesy of Tommy Nelson.

Isn’t the cover of The Butterfly and the Violin breathtaking? Now, this isn’t really a beach read because it’s super heavy subject matter. Think The Sound of Music without the happy singing. However, don’t turn away from this stunning novel because it’s intimidating. It’s a book that will have your heart on a silver platter. The Butterfly and the Violin currently has a 5 star rating on Amazon!! That rating is well deserved; this book is a masterpiece of emotion.  I’m trying to convince my husband to read it because he’s very interested in WWII history. This is an aspect of the Holocaust with which I wasn’t familiar.  Although it was heartbreaking, it definitely touched my soul.  Such a beautiful book!  You need to also check out the giveaway at the bottom of this post!

The Lord’s Prayer is simply that. It’s the traditional prayer offered up with cute illustrations. Someone special will enjoy reading this book with you!! When my niece was little, she used to carry things around with her everywhere. Sometimes it was a purse, other times it would be a toy. This little board book has a handle made just for that purpose.

Which of these books would you like to win? There’s one Rafflecopter below that includes both prizes. Please select your first choice in the mandatory entry field, which will open the rest of the entry form to you. The giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law. Good luck!

We would always say the Lord’s Prayer with our children at bedtime. I hope it gives them comfort for a good night sleep, brings them closer with God, and lets them know they can talk to Him anytime.
