Save time in the kitchen with Vidalia Chop Wizard

Disclosure: This Vidalia Chop Wizard was sent to me for review. Opinions shared are mine. I used my Amazon affiliate link in this post – if you make a purchase through this link, I may earn a small commission (used for giveaway prizes).

This week, it was my turn to take a meal to our small group Bible study. My daughter begged me to take meatloaf, which is one of her favorites. It’s a great comfort food! I was given the chance to try the quick-cutting Vidalia Chop Wizard, and it saved me several minutes on this entree.  I was able to prep the entire dish before leaving for Sunday School! Gift for that wise person in your life – funny mug

Disclosure: I received this item free of charge. Opinions shared are mine.

Most of us know a person who is always right.  For you, it might be a family member or friend.  My person is my grandmother.  Though we weren’t really close until I was a teenager, she became almost like a mother to me.  Even now, we stay in close contact despite the hundreds of miles that separate us.  Every month, I send her a box filled with the books I reviewed. She loves to read, and then she shares the books with her church friends.  I’m so blessed to know this amazing, wise woman. [Read more…]

#TheGospelOfMark from @TheLumoProject #ad

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Review Wire Media for The Lumo Project. I received information to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Walk into our living room at 3 AM, and you’re likely to catch my husband watching a historical documentary.  The rest of us have caught the bug, too.   It makes history come alive in a way that books don’t always allow.  With the Lumo Project‘s Gospel DVDs, I feel a similar connection. The Gospel of Mark will be available at Walmart on March 14, and would be a wonderful gift for the history buff in your life. Tuck it in an Easter basket or gift it to your pastor. [Read more…]

In the 1990s, my cousin introduced me to Christian music.  He was obsessed with rap at the time, so DC Talk was his favorite.  I preferred Jars of Clay and Twila Paris.  Our preferences didn’t matter, though.  The important thing was the encouragement we received from the uplifting lyrics.  To this day, I find contemporary Christian music to be important part of my worship.  When my Laura Story “Open Hands” CD arrived, we listened to it on the way to school.  We have a long commute, so we were able to hear almost all of the songs during that drive!  [Read more…]

Carolyn Miller’s The Elusive Miss Ellison

Meet The Elusive Miss Ellison. This Regency romance is so doused with swoon you’ll be longing for a fainting couch.  Fans of Downton Abbey will wonder how Miss Ellison could possibly share a name with Matthew’s Lavinia (as in, Squire).  They’re polar opposites!

Disclosure I received a copy of the book from Litfuse Publicity. I was not required to write a positive review; opinions shared are mine. [Read more…]
