We are in the car, everyone is dressed, fed, and ready to go.  When we arrive at school, I get the goodbye kiss and what we call “the huff.”  Then I pop the question—“Didn’t I tell you to brush your teeth?”   We all know that’s a rhetorical question.  Of course I reminded the kids to brush their teeth.  But that doesn’t mean that they actually did it.   In fact, I started to suspect that my daughter was only pretending to forget so that she could get a breathmint or piece of gum before school, since I couldn’t bear to send her in the building with halitosis.  Please tell me that it’s not just my kids.
