Welcome to the Literary Love Giveaway Hop hosted by Views From the ‘Ville and Money Saving Mindy. This giveaway begins August 7 and ends August 21.
Savings in Seconds is sponsored by two authors. Quest for Light – Adventure of the Magi by Byron Anderson is a beautiful story that gave me a whole new perspective on the birth of Christ. It’s a book that I’m excited to share with you. I don’t want to give it away, but I think the title is self-explanatory. Have you ever considered what it was like for the Magi to travel to the Christ-child? In my sixth grade social studies class, we study the Silk Road and the early merchants who traveled this difficult path. This book referenced these early days and was really interesting for me.
The second book is The Take-Charge Patient: How You Can Get the Best Medical Care by Martine Ehrenclou. It’s a must-read for anyone who is a
caregiver or facing medical problems. So many issues are presented in the book that I never thought of before. For example, how many of us have a copy of our complete medical records at home? The book comes from the point of view and experiences of both patients and medical professionals. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to be an advocate for her own healthcare.
This giveaway is open to US readers of Savings in Seconds. The giveaway ends 8/21/12. Please use the rafflecopter form below to enter. Good luck!
I would like the Take-Charge Patient. My sons have had some medical issues and I’ve faced some myself this year and I find myself getting very frustrated with multiple doctors and I’d love to learn how to better handle things!
Quest for Light
Having had breast cancer and now being the caregiver for my mother who has Alzheimer’s I feel like I have dealt a lot with the issues in Take-Charge Patient but always want to keep up with latest.
Quest for Light, it sounds like such an interesting read to learn of this books telling of the Birth of Christ.
I would like the Take-Charge Patient, as I have had to deal with some medical billing office workers that were less than polite and patient.
Our family has had lots of medical issues, this would be a good book for us.
I’d pick Quest for Light
The Take-Charge Patient. It can be difficult to deal with the insurance, doctors, and understand the medical situation, it sounds like people think this is a great tool to navigate the system.
take charge patient, with medical issues I have and ones that my mom has it is good to know that there is something to help me be prepared for whatever comes my way as I am somewhat unorganized as far as medical issues and paperwork goes.
