Playing online games can be a fun pasttime when the kids are asleep.  It’s easy and mindless if you want it to be, or you can interact with other players.    Recently I had the chance to try Gamesville and boy, did I have fun!   The free games are easy (Bingo is my favorite) and there are lots of ways to win bonus GVs. The GVs are online currency that you can use at Gamesville.    I played Reel Cash Critters until I had burned through all 20,000 of my GVs.  Since you’re not using “real” money, it’s not a typical slot machine game.  That makes it a little more fun for me, because I don’t feel like I’m spending money.  I can relax a little bit.  Of course, I’m a big spender when it comes to things like that and I bet the max every time.   My husband should NOT take me to Vegas.  I would be the person on the commercial who sold their hair to a wig shop.  You can also win cash prizes ($5 or $10) which would be nice, too!!   I didn’t win any of the cash prizes, but I noticed on some of the chat discussions that lots of people won those.  The chat rooms seemed to be a very friendly community of online players.  I didn’t participate in chat, but I felt like I would have been welcomed if I had done so.  Playing some of the team options would probably help to build this camaraderie.

Gold members also get to play other special games like Spin-O-Matic.  I got somewhat fixated on Reel Cash Critters and never made it to the specialty games.  Now I have some incentive to play more of the free games and daily games so that I can play those!   Being a Gold member has other perks too, like double jackpot (wowee!)    This could become a habit.

Playing online is a bit less dangerous for me, and I vowed not to play any online games that required me to “bet” money.  Gamesville has a lot of free games so it’s perfect for someone like me who just wants to burn some time doing nothing that requires thought.  Just clicking a slot machine is okay, especially if it’s free.  I had a hard time getting some of the games to load when I was using Firefox. As soon as I switched to IE the games worked just fine.  So if you have difficulty getting the games to play, that might be the issue.
