Book suggestions are so important to me.  I love to know what my friends are reading, what’s on the bestseller list, and what my favorite authors like to read.

This year has been a good one for books, and there are so many great page-turners to look forward to!  I’ve really enjoyed suspense and thrillers this year, especially the kind that take place in a suburb or quaint small town.  Maybe it’s my Downton Abbey withdrawal, but I’ve also been hunting down UK-based books.  What books are lingering on your wishlist?  Here are three of my book suggestions for the first half of 2018.

These are all books that kept me up past my bedtime!  They’re psychological thrillers and/or suspense, which is one of my favorite genres to read.

I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh really took my breath away.  I felt so strongly for these characters!  Here’s my review.

Coldwater by Samuel Parker had an interesting supernatural twist, while maintaining its thriller status.  It was dark and creepy without a hint of romance or warm fuzzies.  Here’s my review, posted just minutes after I finished the book.

The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor had a fun 1980s flair, reminiscent of Stand By Me and Stranger Things.  Read my review here.
