My experience with the great outdoors, for the most part, is limited to places where full-hookup campsites are available. Glamping is definitely my style of roughing it. When reading Leave No Trace by Mindy Mejia (release date 9/4/18) , I felt like I was under the stars in frigid Minnesota!

No matter your experience with back to school shopping, Elmer’s glue reigns as the brand we all know. I remember all the way back to first grade when red-haired Todd used to put glue on his tongue and ATE it. Yikes! At least Elmer’s is non-toxic!
I still buy Elmer’s for my own children and for my classroom. If you visited my language arts classroom, you’d see bottles of Elmer’s glue on my windowsill, and a HUGE gallon jug of glue that’s used to refill the bottles. My students love keeping the bottles full for me! This year, we have a fun new Elmer’s glue product to look forward to.

Shelley Shepard Gray’s Amish of Hart County series appeals to me because I’m familiar with that area. I’ve read 4 out of the 5 books in the series. Each one stands alone, yet there are common threads between the stories. Her Fear is book #5 in the series.
This week I had the opportunity to go to a training in Knoxville, TN. The hotel where I stayed, the Hilton Knoxville, was located right downtown near Market Square. It was the perfect location to enjoy the city’s charm! While the hotel housed a Starbucks and full-service restaurant, I wanted to try something completely different. The French Market Creperie caught my eye on TripAdvisor, and I was delighted that it was just steps away from the hotel!

He’s still working to find the final few birthday cakes. You might be surprised how educational video games can be!
My daughter came home with a load of band cards today. They’re available for a $5 donation, and they contain a boatload of discounts. If you live in the Tricities, Tennessee area — especially Kingsport — you’re probably familiar with these. I’ve been buying several each year from my friends’s kids. These cards are like gold because they have so many great local deals. It reminds me of the Entertainment Book we used to buy! I can’t believe it’s our turn to sell them!
