Minecrafters Bible with unofficial content for gamers and fans

What do Steve, ocelots, and blocks have to do with Jesus?  Let’s find out!

Let’s just be honest – for most kids, the Bible is not a particularly tempting read.  For one thing, it’s so loooooong.  Then there are dozens of tongue twisting names, and places that kids have only heard about through school or VBS.  Finally, it’s in tiny print with old-fashioned looking pictures.  I have seen some Bible versions that have a child-friendly appeal, but the Minecrafters Bible is at the top of my kids’ lists!

Rarely do we hear of anyone but the good, obedient Plain Person in an Amish fiction book.  In The Quieting by Suzanne Woods Fisher, Abigail is anything but ordinary!   Here are some reasons why Abigail was one of my favorite characters of the summer.

Reads for the Beach #ChristianFiction

Disclosure: I received these books to review. Post contains affiliate links; opinions shared are mine.

A book that goes on vacation with me has to be mind candy. There, I said it. I don’t look for a riveting read that will keep me enthralled — otherwise, I wouldn’t want to explore my vacation spot! Instead, I need something to keep me occupied when we’re sitting in traffic, or maybe read a chapter or two before dozing off for the night. So my “Beach Book” expectations are not high. Therefore, I recommend A Sweet Misfortune as an easy read – just read on knowing that they’re not riveting works of great American literature.

Being a girl means shoes, makeup, and …. UTI pain? Here’s how to deal. #ad

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Uricalm®. All opinions are 100% mine.
Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Uricalm, who provided free product. Opinions shared are mine.

Most of the time, I love the girly side of life.  Womanhood allows me to obsess over shoes, wear pretty jewelry and makeup, and cry over a good book — all without shame.  When it comes to urinary tract wellness, though, being a girl is not always fun and games.  I have to be careful about using certain body wash formulas, unscented products, and taking off wet swimsuits right away.  Do guys struggle with that type of thing?  One thing is certain. Every woman needs to keep a UTI pain product, such as Uricalm® MAXin the medicine cabinet.  When that pinching moment hits in the middle of the night, it’s never a pleasant surprise!   If you don’t have this in stock at your house, click here to print a $3 couponundefined

Earlier today, my father-in-law asked how Amazon Prime works. I was surprised, since he frequently orders from Amazon. When my husband started to list the benefits of Amazon Prime, I was reminded how much it’s worth the annual price tag. Shop Amazon for Father’s Day – Give the Gift of Amazon Prime

Young and Beardless by John Luke Robertson – book review

Disclosure: I received this book in exchange for an honest review.  Opinions shared are mine.

I love watching Duck Dynasty! The family is hilarious, and they share such strong love. Although they share their Christian beliefs openly, the show doesn’t bask in evangelical glory. While I’ve seen John Luke Robertson on the show many times, I really didn’t know much about his personality or beliefs until reading his book Young and Beardless.

Precious In His Sight – new book from debut author Karen Pashley

In sickness and health has been a strong reminder of marriage vows in my house. My husband has near-constant bouts with kidney stones, which are debilitating for him.  He’s a tough guy and usually goes along with life which has spoiled me! He typically soldiers on, despite the agonizing pain, but this one had him truly incapacitated. On the night before my 41st birthday, he was struggling with the decision to go to the ER.  He decided to try to sleep and see if the kidney stone would move while he rested.   Our children were invited to spend the night with my sister, and I waited out the kidney stone!  I picked up my copy of Precious in His Sight around 10 PM.  When I closed the final page at 2 AM, my heart was stunned.  Admonished. Changed.

Precious In His Sight

Once in a while, we meet a character who embodies true love for others.  In the new novel Precious in His Sight, author Karen Pashley created such a person in Sugar Brennan.

Medical Judgment by Dr. Richard Mabry – book review

Disclosure: I received this book as part of the blog tour. Opinions shared are mine.

Books make wonderful gifts for special occasions. A pretty-ish gift is great for Mother’s Day, and a sentimental book is ideal for a baby shower. When it’s Father’s Day, though, the super dad in your life is likely to want a book that keeps him interested from cover to cover! Enter Dr. Richard Mabry. He’s the man you want for this job!
Medical Judgment
I’ve had the good fortune to read several of Dr. Mabry’s books. I appreciate that his novels are clean yet thrilling! The suspense is exciting, and tends to unfold like a medical drama. He weaves his medical background into realistic fiction that will have Dad on the edge of his seat. Medical Judgment is a new release from Dr. Mabry, and one that dad will want to check out.
