Some types of wetness can’t be helped. Control the ones that CAN! #TryImpressa #ad

Some types of wetness just can’t be helped.  For example, when you accidentally leave your car window cracked open on a rainy night….and get a wet seat in the morning.   Or what about when you walk through a puddle in your yard on the way to the mailbox, and get a squishy shoe.  Then there’s the time when you drop your mail on a wet countertop or the wet steps.  These things happen.   The same applies for stress urinary incontinence.  It happens!  The good thing is, you CAN control that wetness.

God Bless Our Fall book review

Disclosure: I received this book to review. Opinions shared are mine.

Fall is probably my favorite season. I love the way the air feels cool in the morning….not cold enough for a coat, but not warm enough for short sleeves. The changing leaves make me smile, and I love when they drop and get all crunchy. Delicious autumn flavors like caramel and pumpkin make their appearance in the fall, too. That’s why I love the board book God Bless Our Fall by Hannah Hall.  It’s so much fun to win giveaways for my kids, so I knew this book was the perfect prize in the Books That Need More Attention giveaway hop.

Introduce your child to a new type of art with Ice Cream Work

Disclosure: I received this book to review. The post contains affiliate links; opinions shared are mine.

I’ve never really been in touch with my Japanese heritage.  My kids love to eat certain Japanese foods, and they call their grandmother “Oba” (just as I do).  Beyond that, the only thing that defines our Japanese affinities would be our Honda van.  So when I received Ice Cream Work to review, I didn’t really appreciate the Japanese artwork at first.  It seemed more retro to me; it immediately reminded me of 80’s cartoons.  The muted colors and stylized patterns seemed reminiscent of books from my childhood.  The author’s page revealed that Ice Cream Work represents a unique form of artwork called SUNAE.  Have you heard of it?

Decorate your pumpkin with candy this fall

Disclosure: I received a fabulous package of candy from Sweetworks. Opinions shared are mine.

Finding ways to solve two problems with one product is a big time saver at our house.  It’s hard to keep fall decor in line with the changing holidays.  It’s also the time for sweet treats, which is always fun!  One great way to get the two together is to set up your fall table with Sweetworks candy.
