Oreo Biscuit Bites Mother's Day #havethelove #mothersday #oreobiscuitbites

Oreo biscuit bites are good.  Dang good, as a matter of fact.  Getting them for free?  Even better!

On Mother’s Day, I count my blessings.  Being loved by little people is a very special thing indeed.  My kids don’t have a lot of disposable income with which to purchase a gift, and my husband isn’t the type to help them create a cherished handmade gift for me.  That’s okay.  Getting dinner out is one way to enjoy my day. It frees me up from my typical responsibilities for a little while.  Indulging in an Oreo Biscuit Bite, covered with glaze and filled with Oreo goodness, is the perfect ending to a perfect day.  Now through 5/10, the purchase of a Church’s Chicken family meal gets you a free 20 piece of Oreo Biscuit Bites!  The only thing better than free Oreo Biscuit Bites?  Getting enough to share them with the people you love.  [Read more…]

One in three American women suffer from bladder leakage. Whether it’s mild or severe, you should know that it could happen to anyone!  Who would you feel comfortable talking to about this problem, if you were that one woman?  For many, bladder leakage is a taboo subject. We might feel like we need to hide the fact that we have different undies in the drawer for those “just in case” moments.  Ladies, we need to support each other whenever possible. Childbirth and lady problems make bladder leakage just one more thing we have in common.  Let’s get the word out — wearing a different type of underwear is really no big deal!  Share the hashtag #Underwareness with a video or photo.  Depend will donate $1 to the research of, and education about, bladder leakage.  Up to $3 million will be donated!  Don’t forget to request your free sample, too. Ryan’s is hosting Garfield themed Family Night on Thursdays!

Disclosure: I received meal coupons. Opinions shared are mine.

We always look forward to Family Night at Ryan’s Steakhouse in Greeneville, TN.  The kids look forward to the cotton candy and hot, buttered rolls. I love the convenience of a buffet (no wait time!) and the fact that the kid’s meals are the same price as a drink at most restaurants.  This month, diners will enjoy a Garfield-themed Family Night at participating Ryan’s restaurants. He’s everyone’s favorite cat!

What to read this weekend – God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea

Disclosure: I received these books to review. The post may contain affiliate links; opinions shared are mine.

Don’t forget that you can earn FREE books through the Tyndale Rewards program!  Click here to join and you’ll automatically earn 25 points.  I cashed out last month for a copy of Freedom’s Stand which I plan to give to my grandmother.  I love freebies!

Wondering what to read this weekend? Let’s enjoy the final month of spring with some good old fashioned southern books!  The first one on my list is God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea by Rose Chandler Johnson. This devotional contains journaling ideas, prayer focus, and challenges.  The thing I liked most about this book was the unique perspective RCJ takes with the prayer focus. For example, on one focus day, we prayed for those with brain injuries and disorders.  There is nothing off the table in God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea. From gossip to forgiveness, the author tackles those moments of everyday life in which God needs to be a part. This would be a lovely book to start with a prayer partner.  Share each chapter over cups of delicious sweet tea, and deepen a relationship while strengthening your others!  [Read more…]

Channing O’Banning chapter books by Angela Spady

Disclosure: I received these books to review. Opinions shared are mine.

If your kiddo has worked through all the Magic Tree House, Box Car Children, and Junie B. Jones books in the library, never fear. I have a new series to present to you! Channing O’Banning books have a unique charm, along with a life lesson theme. Coming in at around 110 pages (15 chapters), these are perfect to read together as a family, too. Let’s not forget that Channing has a pet pig named Teeny! I wear my pencil in my ponytail just like Channing does, so she was a kindred spirit. Fourth grade has never seemed like so much fun.

Emergency Numbers Magnet for Babysitter and Daycare @MyPrintly #CMYK

Disclosure: This post is brought to you by MyPrintly and MomSelect. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Make a free Emergency Numbers Magnet with @MyPrintly #CMYK #ad savingsinseconds.com

When you were a child, did you have all the important phone numbers memorized?  Even in my sleep, I could rattle off my best friend’s phone number, my mom’s work number, and (of course) my own phone number.  Things have changed with the introduction of cell phones and Bluetooth.  We no longer have to memorize these numbers.  I teach 6th grade and sometimes need to reach parents. Many of my students have no idea what their phone number is.  It’s time-consuming and inconvenient to look up those numbers on a computer database in every situation.  My own children don’t know all the numbers that they could reach in an emergency.  If I don’t answer my phone, they’d be lost!  That’s why I used MyPrintly to make a free magnet that goes right on our refrigerator.  If a babysitter is at our house, this magnet is a quick reference if she needs to get in contact with us.  It’s simple to print off extras to give this to a daycare teacher.  Don’t forget to tuck one in your child’s backpack!   My Emergency Numbers Magnet took just seconds to create.  Here’s how to make yours!  [Read more…]
