Back in the day, I was always faithful about promptly sending thank you cards. There was a shelf on my desk that held a small stash of blank cards at the ready. When we moved to a smaller house, my office area shrank to nothing, and I stopped storing things like blank cards. As a result, I’ve neglected to send thank you cards — and I have let it go by the wayside with my kids, too. That’s why I’m grateful that Suphouse sent me an assortment of blank, easy to use thank you cards. Keeping thank you cards on hand saves time, and it’s a wonderful way to show appreciation for someone’s thoughtfulness.

Writing inside the card

You don’t have to write a long message inside a thank you card. It’s nice to put in a personal comment such as, ‘That pink blanket is so soft. It reminds me of the quilt you kept on your recliner when I was growing up.” If you’re writing to someone you don’t know well, you can always keep the note centered on the gift. For example, “Thank you so much for the casserole dish. Hubby is already asking me to bake his favorite cinnamon rolls in it!”

Teach the kids

I think it’s very important to teach children to send a handwritten thank you for a gift. In our society, entitlement runs rampant. Writing a brief note of gratitude reminds kids that gifts are small sacrifices, something given out of love, and not something people are required to do. It also encourages children to look outside of their own world, focusing instead on the gift giver.

It’s something special

Receiving a handwritten thank you card these days is very special. Sending one is a wonderful way to repay someone’s kindness.

The pack of cards I received from Suphouse is just $9.99 on Amazon for 48 cards, envelopes, and seals. That’s a great deal, breaking down to just 21 cents per card. Get yours here:
The colors and style in the assortment are very neutral, making it perfect for any occasion.

I totally agree when you said that note cards mean that they are given out of love when you gift them to people. This would be a great idea for giving something to a friend of mine even if it is not her birthday. If I can find a note card that I can buy, I will definitely give one to her this coming weekend when we see each other to show her my gratitude since she helps me a lot in life.
