In Prayer Warrior Mom by Marla Alupoaicei, moms can learn how to devote time to praying for their children.  I received this book to review.   It doesn’t matter if you’re already a praying person or if you’re just learning the ropes.  Alupoaicei gives each reader something to take away from the book.  This would be such a wonderful devotional to use in small groups, a new mom’s Sunday School class, or any setting where a mom needs support and help from other moms.  I plan to give this as a baby shower gift to the new moms who are starting to sprout up in my life.

When my husband and I decided to start a family, I prepared my body for my babies by eating healthy and taking care of myself.  In the same way, I prepared my children for this world by praying for their health, their lives, and their dreams.  Their future spouses are in my prayers.  The teachers who work with my kids each day are bathed in prayer.  Even the buildings that my children walk into have been given God’s protection.  Prayer Warrior  Mom was a refreshing new look at the way I structure my prayers.  I will continue to implement the lessons I learned in Alupoaicei’s book for years to come.  Many people have commented that my kids are always so happy.  I love to think that it’s because God’s hand is upon them, carrying their worries and struggles for them.

This is a book that can be read cover to cover, or you can also try to put into action one chapter at a time.  It doesn’t matter if your children are a sparkle in your husband’s eye or if they’re grown with babies of their own.  Every mom needs to know that God is watching out for her child.  The best way to make sure that happens is to ASK Him to do it.  Prayer Warrior Mom is a good resource to teach you how.

So moms, tell me…..what’s your biggest prayer for your children?

  6. I’m not religious & I don’t have children (yet) but I have lots of nieces and nephews and my biggest wishes for them is that they are able to be content with who they are and that they are able to follow their dreams.
