Being a teacher is the perfect job for a work-outside-the-home mom. My kids and I have the same schedule so I’m able to enjoy breaks with them. Summer break is the absolute best!! We spend those weeks bonding over morning walks, late night swims, and playing lots of games together. My daughter turns 10 years old this year and my son turns 5 year old. It’s unbelievable that so much time has passed. I’m determined that we’ll really make the most of our time together! We often have family and friends visit during our summer break. It’s important to find games that will suit the wide range of ages that we typically have on our nights of entertainment. Winning Moves offers so many family-friendly games that are fun for the whole group.

I’d never heard of the card game Touring before Winning Moves contacted me. The great thing about this card game is that just about anyone can play it. You can make it into a learning experience by changing your focus of the game. Teach younger children the “rules” of playing cards, such as how to take turns and when to lay down certain cards. Older children can practice mental addition by trying to complete the race. Everyone gets a good laugh when a penalty card is played because it can completely change the game. Although my kids are still learning how to play cards, this is a fun, non-threatening way to introduce the concept.

Last summer I spent a lot of time trying to find a fun game for the kids to enjoy in the pool. This year they’ll be playing with Splash Cards. Although we haven’t actually played with these in water yet, my kids are absolutely enthralled with the combinations of the cards. Winning Moves has several varieties of Splash Cards. I like that these float because it levels the playing field for those kids who can’t go underwater yet. Also, imagine how easy the clean-up will be! The cards come in a mesh bag for storage. I plan to allow the cards to try a bit first before they go in the bag.

Would you like to add these games to your game cabinet? One lucky reader will win both games from Winning Moves. The prize pack, including shipping, is valued at approximately $25. Enter the rafflecopter form below. The giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law. Good luck!
