Wildflower the Movie #giveaway #FlyBy savingsinseconds.com
My daughter is done with cutesy cartoons and fairy tales. These days, she wants real-world movies. She’s approaching her 12th birthday, and feels like she should be able to watch more grown-up content. While I still monitor her viewing habits, I feel completely comfortable allowing her to watch movies endorsed by the DOVE foundation. Wildflower was awarded 5 doves, plus has the “Faith Friendly” seal for ages 12+. Thankfully, they review the content so that I have peace of mind!

Even with the age 12 range here, there were some tough-to-handle scenes in Wildflower. The movie definitely has strong themes, and if your child is easily scared, you might want to step back and watch this as adults only. For my part, I felt that it was important for my daughter to understand the obstacles some people face in life. My children are very blessed, and at this point they don’t understand what it is to truly experience trauma, fear, or heartache. I’m so grateful that they haven’t had to overcome those hurdles; their difficulties in childhood pale in comparison to some. In the movie Wildflower, I had a safe platform from which to start a meaningful conversation with my daughter. She didn’t have to personally endure such grief in order to empathize with Chloe.

Now, it just isn’t movie night without SNACKS! Our lucky giveaway winner will also receive a $10 Amazon gift code in order to purchase some yummy treats to enjoy. What would you choose?

  4. (I watched the trailer.) It was really interesting to look at this from the/my perspective of clinical psychologist / psychotherapist. The recurring lines about whether the main character and her symptoms/”symptoms” are to be believed (and taken seriously) is pretty true to life.

  11. Stephanie Grant says

I learned it is a movie that is a suspense type movie with out all the yuck (like blood, guts and lots of violence and nasty language) and that makes me super happy! I love suspense/mystery type movies but I choose not to watch ones that may cause me to be uncomfortable watching alone or with my family.

I had never seen this trailer or had even heard of Wildflower before today! I enjoyed the trailer and am looking forward to this movie coming out today! Not All Wounds are Visible! Thanks for the opportunity to win this movie! I think my family and I would love it.

  30. Nathalia the actor that plays Chloe is also a co-founder of Teens for Teens, an organization that empowers youth to get involved in supporting less-fortunate teens.
Cody who stars as Josh is also an extremely gifted singer and dancer and played “Fiyero” in WICKED during its run at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. This is a film I have been wanting to see. I was hoping it would come to our area. We have a small town theater that only shows one film a week so not all films come here and if they do they are a few months behind the rest of the world but that’s ok as long as I could see this film. Thank you for sharing in this fun hop and I’ll keep my fingers crossed because this might be the only way I get to see it way out in the hicks here.

  31. Emily Benzing says

I really love the message behind the movie – hope can be found even in your darkest moments. It’s a beautiful saying for what looks like a beautiful movie!

  32. Crystal Rose says

It averages better than 4/5 stars on Amazon.

  33. I watched the trailer. I’m always hesitant about “Christian” films because the acting seems to be so so but this looks good. I have friends who deal with mental illness and PTSD and I’m curious how this film deals with that…cause it looks like that’s what it’s about, partially. I’m glad to see the Christian community doing something like this then. Just depends on how it’s handled in the film.

  34. Julie Waldron says

I learned that it’s written & directed by the man that also wrote and directed KING’S FAITH.

  35. Judy Cox says

I learned that the movie is rated PG-13.

  36. I learned that she was having nightmares and thought maybe it was a suppressed memory

  37. Carissa Joslyn says

I learned that Kevin McCorkle is in it, as I was looking through the cast I saw him and immediately recognized him from NCIS. Which makes me even more interested in Wild Flower.

  38. Marnie G (Derrick Todd) says

I really like that this is a movie that is about hope and finding peace in a desperate situation.

  39. Laurie Emerson says

I learned that it is a story about faith, triumph and healing.

  40. Hesper Fry says

I learned that in the Dove Review it gave it Five Doves as a rating.
