Now, here’s what I really love about this promotion — kids are encouraged to play a part in being a local hero. During the last week of the Underdogs Family Night event, participating restaurants will accept canned good donations (to benefit local charities). This is a great opportunity to go beyond teaching your child about the act of giving — make it a practice for your family. Children who bring in a canned food item will receive a sticker that says, “I Can Make a Difference.” It’s important to help kids build the awareness that they’re an important part of a community. By helping others in their area, they take an active role in being a good citizen. That’s always something to celebrate!
My kids love going to Ryan’s, so I know we’ll be headed there for at least one Family Night event. My son asks to go to Ryan’s at least once a week!
