Sometimes we just need a reminder.

This week was tough for me. My dad passed away last week, and we traveled a long distance to try to take care of the details after death. The burden on my heart might translate to my face, but I tried to go on with my normal day-to-day activities. The blessing in all of this? It’s been a difficult week, but there were bright spots. My relationships got better. My husband handled a lot of the paperwork and made phone calls on my behalf. I talked with my mom about some of the things we found in my dad’s papers, and it brought us closer. I hugged my kids and told them how much I love them. It’s possible to expect miracles in the face of tragedy.
