The world's easiest diet plan featured on savingsinseconds.com

Remember the school pizza from your middle school days?  What about the mashed potatoes or steamed veggie mix?   I hate to burst your bubble but those things haven’t really improved over time; at least, not at the school where I work.  While the cafeteria staff really seems to try to make things taste appealing, the federal guidelines on school lunches are such a hindrance that most things taste bland.  When I’m in a rush and haven’t had time to prepare a lunch, it’s sometimes simpler to purchase a meal there.  Paying around $3.50 for  a lunch that is less than appetizing is a real bummer.  When the friends at iLoveThisDiet.com contacted me about reviewing their plan, I knew it was a blessing.  You see, the key to their plan is to be strategic about eating frozen dinners and supplementing with fresh fruit and veggies.  Sounds convenient, doesn’t it?  It really is the world’s easiest diet plan since there’s no guesswork involved.

Since my way of making it through the busy school year is to find tricks that save both time and money, the I Love This Diet plan works for me.  Also, I am lazy and don’t want to make a huge effort on anything but work and raising my kids during the school year.  This diet plan utilizes frozen dinners from the brands Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, and Smart Ones.  All three of those brands are readily available at my area grocery stores.  We also purchased a deep freezer this summer so I have the room to store plenty of frozen lunches.  Yes, you’re probably thinking that I could prepare my own frozen dinners now, but remember, I am lazy.  It’s just not gonna happen.  When I can find such great sales on frozen dinners while doing my regular grocery store trip, it’s easy as can be.  I cook at home several times a week but rarely get a chance to sit down and enjoy my meal.  I often find myself eating supper at 8:00 or later or I skip supper altogether.  That means my lunch needs to be filling enough that it tides me over until I have a moment to sit down.  If you prefer to make your own low-calorie meals, this plan includes some easy recipes and even some grocery savings tips.  There are also suggested options for eating out.  And of course it includes a treat list that is muy bueno!!!

The basic idea of this diet is that you can choose from the “ratings” of meals to find the ones that will keep you full and still taste great.  You eat a frozen dinner for lunch and for supper.  If you’re thinking “I could do that myself without a plan” you’d be missing all the cool info that comes along with the plan.  I loved checking my favorite meals on this and found the ratings to be spot-on.  I was curious about some of the other meals listed because I”m kind of a stick in the mud when it comes to frozen dinners.  I tend to have my favorites and never buy anything else.  Now that I have these guidelines to go by, I am willing to venture out to some meals that rated a 10 on taste and above a 7 on fullness factor.  The instruction guide helped me to figure out my caloric needs and a sample menu.  Now, there wasn’t a lot mentioned about sodium and other nutritional downfalls of processed frozen meals.  If I’m going to be eating frozen meals on a regular basis that’s something to consider.  It’s something I can check myself when purchasing meals, though it would be nice if it were included on the plan. Now, the catch is that you have to download this program to your computer or device.  It was a simple download on the computer but when I tried to load it on my iPad I found that I needed a $4.99 app.  I’d prefer to have this on my iPad because of the convenience of checking while shopping, but I’m not going to spend that extra $4.99 on it.  It was a bit tricky to maneuver around the downloaded file on my computer at first but I finally figured out that I have to go back to where I saved it and open it from there; it doesn’t open well through Acrobat.  Once I figured out that part, it was easy as pie.  It was great to find this as a one-time download with no subscriptions to mess with, no deliveries to be made, and nothing else to worry about.  It’s a one-time fee and can be downloaded on up to 3 devices.  As a bonus, you also get a lifetime subscription to the money savings plan.   There’s a cool sheet to print off that allows me to record the meals I like (or didn’t enjoy) so I don’t waste money buying it again, or waste time trying to remember what I liked last Tuesday.  Overall, this diet plan is convenient for those who want to take the guesswork out of a convenient eating plan.  I loved that they encourage eating fresh fruit and veggies several times a day.  It’s a very flexible and sustainable meal plan for those who don’t enjoy cooking.

Would this meal plan work for you?  What types of frozen meals do you enjoy?
