Once upon a time, there was a giveaway.   It was the Fairy Tale Giveaway Hop.  The giveaway was such a success that it became an annual event.  The 2013 giveaway hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer,The Book Rat & A Backwards Story will begin on March 26th and is thus to end on April 2nd, whence the entrants and bloggers will live happily ever after.

At the Savings in Seconds house, we love Disney World.  Personally, I love everything about it.  Waking up and having so many beautiful moments with my family, spending time laughing and playing with my kids, and the joy in their faces when they see something new.  Sharing those moments with  my husband is so special.  Disney really is magical.  Isn’t that the way a fairy tale should be?   Unfortunately our first trip to Disney wasn’t so magical.  It’s not a typical vacation; at least, not in the relaxing sense.  There is definitely a learning curve, and if you are planning a trip you should absolutely consult with someone who has Disney experience!  Author Jeffrey Merola shares his Disney expertise in the The Busy Family’s Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2013.   How much is an hour of your time worth?  With the Kindle price at $2.99 and the paperback just $6.95, think of amount of time you’re sure to save because of reading this book.  It’s a steal, right?!  Merola is a husband, father, NY State teacher, football coach, author, and a huge Walt Disney World fan!  He has been on Disney property for about 165 days so he definitely knows his way around the parks.

Oh, how I wish I had invested in this book before we went on our first Disney vacation!!   Spending a few dollars on a guide book would have saved us hundreds of dollars on wasted meals, tickets, and more….not to mention the TIME we wasted going from park to park trying to figure it all out.  Even if you’ve been to Disney World, The Busy Family’s Unofficial Guide is a great resource because Disney changes so often.  Recently Disney has opened new restaurants, hotels, and even a new area in the Magic Kingdom.  Each time we go back, there’s something new to try.  The Busy Family’s Unofficial Guide was a great overview with accurate details.  It didn’t go overboard, which was nice.  It’s lightweight enough to pack along on your trip.  Merola gives many money-saving and time-saving tips.  I admit that I pick it up and enjoy reading it just to have a few fairy tale moments, imagining that I’m back at “the World.”   My daughter (age 8) also read the book. She really liked the fact that the author’s children had a chance to voice their opinions about rides and attractions.   It gave us an opportunity to talk about the things she liked best about Disney and to reminisce about our visits.    One lucky Savings in Seconds winner will receive a copy of The Busy Family’s Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2013 !  Just enter using the Rafflecopter form below. The giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+ (void where prohibited by law.)  Remember that The Busy Family’s Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2013 is available on Kindle and in paperback.  You can follow on Facebook and on Twitter to catch little sprinkles of pixie dust.  Good luck!

i found this comment by TJR the most helpful: This is a very useful book. I would really recommend reading something like this prior to going to Disney. The advice regarding dining and where to stay is well worth knowing in advance. I especially value the ability to access this from my kindle app on my iphone while I am in the resort or even en route in the plane.
