Does the SuperDad in your house have a lot going on?  I mean, doesn’t every parent have too many pots and not enough burners?  My husband and I are always spinning our wheels trying to keep it all together.  When our kids were younger, we used to collapse after putting the kids to bed, knowing that we’d have to do it all over again the next day.  Parenthood is a wonderful thing yet it can be exhausting!  Anything you can do to make your life easier is a huge bonus.  I can’t help you with all parts of your busy day, but maybe I can make the kitchen a little bit more dad-friendly.  My husband never seems to be able to peel veggies so he just avoids that part.  Does that happen at your house, too? Well, hooray for this giveaway because one lucky reader will receive this stainless steel peeler set.

A stainless steel peeler set - savingsinseconds.com

I have a love-hate relationship with the peelers of my past.  Remember this kitchen accident that cost my daughter her fingertip and cost me a trip to the ER?  All because it was too hard to peel so we had to use extra force.  In contrast, these peelers require almost no effort to smoothly peel just the top layer.  You’ll notice in the picture above that the BobuCuisine peeler is so easy to hold I was able to use it on an apple peel.  No more sharp paring knives for me!  I plan to use this wide peeler to make shaved parmesan cheese as well.  Freshly shaved cheese tastes so much better!   The handle of this peeler is much easier for my hands to grip. You’ll notice that this peeler set has great reviews on Amazon as well.  Tuck these in a grill kit for Father’s Day and you’ve got a barbecue waiting to happen!

No More Perfect Kids book review - savingsinseconds.com

Now, the next thing to give dad is a little bit of peace.  Peace of mind, that is.  I recently read the book No More Perfect Kids and it just spoke to my heart.  I think its message should be proclaimed from the rooftops.  We put way too much pressure on our kids to be perfect, and we often do the same thing to ourselves.  This book absolves us from that goal of perfection and encourages parents to love their kids just the way they are.  Now don’t get me wrong.  There’s no need to spout the “spare the rod and spoil the child” thing because the authors don’t condemn discipline in any way.  Rather, this book just brings back the love in parenting.  If your SuperDad is feeling a bit overwhelmed, help him take a step back and remember what makes him a Super Dad in the first place.

This giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law.  Head down to the Rafflecopter form below and complete as many of the optional entries as you wish. Good luck!

I could really use a backup peeler. I have one I like, but it is getting rusty. I use it every day. I am VERY picky about peelers. Almost every peeler I’ve ever tried takes off too much of whatever I’m trying to peel. I would be interested in trying this brand. Thanks.
