Be honest – when you go back to school shopping, do you tend to stick to the printed school supply list? I’m totally guilty of that, too. Our school system took great care to minimize expenses for parents, whittling down the list to the bare essentials. In my classroom, we don’t collect all the kids’ pencils to put in a “community” box or anything. The supplies that students bring belong only to them. However, I realized that my personal children would also need to have a good reserve of school supplies at home in order to support their learning. When my daughter was working on her summer reading project and needed to print her report, I realized that it was time to stock up on printer ink, paper, and the like to keep at our house!
Having supplies at home can save you a lot of time and money. Now is the time to load up, since the deals are already in place at all the stores. By providing your child with extra supplies, you can allow them to keep the essentials at school. That minimizes the stress of finding a sharpened pencil in a cluttered backpack, or digging in all the junk drawers for a glue stick that isn’t dried up. Keep a stack of paper in the closet so your child can refresh his supply throughout the school year. When it’s time to print that homework, wouldn’t it be nice to have a spare ink and toner cartridge just waiting in the cabinet? We all know that the ink will run out right when the assignment is due. Lucky for us, HP ink is on sale through 8/1/15. When you buy one original HP ink, get a second cartridge (of equal or lesser value) for 50% off! Think of it as your “one for now, one for later” deal. You can find these savings on the HP site, as well as other nationwide locations including Best Buy, Staples, and Office Depot. This is the biggest savings that HP has offered since 2012, so don’t wait too long to take advantage. Stock up your printer ink and toner today!
I hate when I run out of ink and I have to pay retail because I need to buy right away! It never hurts to stock up!
We do this at our house. Printer ink and paper is something we often run out of and it gets expensive. Buying with a tax free weekend or when office stores have a coupon really helps.
BTS is a good time to stock up on these things. I forget about it since I don’t have kids.
I believe in stocking up on office supplies. It is nice of you to give pointers on trimming expenses stocking them.
Printer ink can be very costly, wise to stock up when on sale along with other back to school supplies. Thank you
I always hate when I run out of ink for my printer. Thank you for sharing.
This is a great idea. We are out of ink right now and I’d love some to print this article!
For some reason I never seem to think of buying printer ink until I run out. I definitely need to stock up on some for this time of year. But I try never to buy if it’s not a deal!
I do try to buy printer ink on sale but that seems to not happen very often. It’s so expensive that I can’t really afford to stock-up on it. That’d be a good idea though if you needed to print quite often.
I used to buy ink from stores but I’ve been buying it online now- much cheaper and just as good, IMHO
I do not have a printer but this is nice
I love laptop it awesome
We try to buy our printer paper and ink on sale. The last couple of years we found some printer paper at garage sales. Ink we don’t find on sale often. So when we do, we buy a couple of double packs.
I am always needing ink! I use my printer a lot.
I always have a supply on hand whenever possible. Sales are the best time to stock up!!
