I’m always happy to see that little blue box in the mail.  Getting these fun samples to try is a special treat each month.  For less than $12 shipped per month, I love getting to try some new brands and products that I might not have seen otherwise.

This month is that transition period between spring and summer.  While I still wore makeup to work, on the weekends and when school finally let out the makeup gets packed away.  I also don’t spend a lot of time on my hair in these months because we’re swimming all day long.  So some of the products are being packed away in my bathroom beauty bag for the fall.  In particular, I’m saving the Cool Way hair product for those days when I need a sleek look.  My hair is coarse and sometimes hair products gunk it up.  Although this product doesn’t have that result, I forget to use it on most mornings.  It’s small enough for travel, which is nice.  I also liked that it comes with a separate cap (the sprayer can be stored separately) so that I can pack it for a trip without worrying about spillage.

I am saving the antiperspirant wipes for a travel day.  When we are at the zoo or Dollywood, I always wish for some extra deodorant but it would get all soft and melty in my bag.  These wipes are the perfect solution!!!   My skin is already dark so I didn’t use the self-tanning wipes.  I’ll gift those to a friend in need.

My two favorite products from this month’s box were the eyeliner and eyeshadow.  Black eyeliner is my downfall. I love its versatility.  Just a little goes a long way.  It’s great for making dramatic eyes.  I also think that black eyeliner helps the whites of my eyes look a little brighter.  This eyeliner went on super, super smooth.  As you can see from my photo, it easily smudges.  It has a sharpener right on the cap, too, so it’s convenient to keep it sharp. 

The shadow is my second favorite.  It’s loose so you need a brush to apply it; that’s the only step I don’t have perfectly down pat yet.   It’s shimmery and light……I just love it.  It’s a very natural color, too, so it would work for just about any skin tone.  I think it would be perfect for those beautiful summer date nights when you want to look like you stepped into moonlight, but not wear a heavy mask of makeup.  Gorgeous!!  This is a product I’d definitely purchase again.
