I’m always in the mood to find cute shoes.  The August heat still has me wearing sandals and wedges most of the time.  The shoes of the season look great, though, and I’m starting to look forward to the boots, slip-ons, and sneakers that my feet will enjoy this fall.

Love these boots! savingsinseconds.com

These updated cowgirl-style ankle boots from Monroe and Main caught my eye.  Love that red!  There are several tired pairs of black boots in my closet that need to be replaced.  Most of the time I end up buying square-toed boots but like the pointed toe of these low-heeled lovelies.  The little embellished straps add the zing that takes these over the top.

It’s very tempting to grab some elegant suede heels or maybe some wedge peep-toes for fall.  When we were at the fair a few nights ago, I saw so many women wearing cute wedge sandals.  Not sure how they walked around in those all night but they looked awesome!  My legs need all the height they can get.

For weekend wear, it’s always a relief to lace up a pair of sneakers.  My feet are grateful for the break!  Get ambitious this fall and customize a pair of adidas mi Stan Smith sneaks!  Before you scoff, think about the cool crocodile-embossed leather with a pair of colorful laces.  Add a heel patch print and sign your name!!  So cute!

Ankle boots and cowboy boots really made a come back last season. It’s interesting to see them together this year.
