I’m LOVING the new trends in today’s Bible editions.  Publishers are catching on to the fun of fonts, textures on covers, and generally making a Bible look pretty.  We used to hide our Bibles in quilted covers and carry them around like a purse. No more!  These Bibles are meant to be attractive all on their own.  I was given a copy of the She Reads Truth Bible in poppy linen hardcover.  Isn’t it gorgeous? 

This Bible is very sturdy and quite heavy, so it’s probably not one I’d tote around to church each week. It’s more likely to be at home on my nightstand, or maybe sitting by my favorite chair. The devotions and extra page layouts make this one a special edition to use for deeper study.  I really appreciate the way that specific messages are simplified so that I can get the meat of a lesson rather than sift through a lot of theological jargon.  This Bible walks the reader through the nitty gritty of Bible study, making it user-friendly and relevant to today’s woman.

No journaling skills needed to make the most of these beautiful pages.  Just color, highlight, add some stickers….whatever helps you get the most from your Bible reading.  There are so many embellished pages like the one shown above, you could almost set this out on the coffee table as a conversation starter!  It would make a beautiful gift, or use it as a supplement to your devotional.
