School has been in session for three full days. My students are yawning throughout the day, giving away the fact that they’ve been sleeping in each summer day until at least noon. My feet hurt at the end of the day, proving that I’ve been off them for far too many relaxing days. Today it rained cats and dogs, making me a bit worried. Out of all the umbrellas I’ve purchased over the years, I can only find one. It broke in May during a huge thunderstorm when a windgust turned the umbrella inside-out. I haven’t purchased a new one. If it rains during the summer we just stay inside. That’s how boring and laidback we are at the Savings in Seconds house! Anyway, the point of mentioning the rain is to share that I don’t have any time to even run to the store to buy a new umbrella. I considered doing it today but my dog somehow injured her leg and I needed to get home to check on her. I”m resorting to buying just about everything online during these busy days. I’m going to order a couple of umbrellas tonight. I found some adorable ones on ModCloth. While I”m there, I’ll also check out the cute new home Decor collection.
As for my dog, she’s doing okay. She’s still limping a bit but seems to feel fine. She doesn’t complain when her leg is touched. Part of that happiness is just her personality. The other part might be due to the True Chews we got from Chewy.com. I’m glad these treats are online so I can just click “submit” and the box arrives on my porch. My sweetpea LOVES these treats. They’re a little gross looking because they are, after all, small pig ears. Eewww. But if you can overcome that tiny obstacle, your dog would probably really enjoy them. They’re rawhide-free so my dog doesn’t have the choking issue that she often gets with inferior chews. My sister-in-law brought her dog over to my house and we shared these treats with the furry friends. Lots of wagging tails around here that night, believe me! It’s not that I want to live a dog’s life, but sometimes it would be nice to sit on the couch all day. Oh, wait. I just spent my summer doing that.
So, sigh. The end of my summer break means the end of my free time. It’s also the start of a wonderful new school year. What’s going on with you?
Wow!! Your school already started? That’s so early! I’m glad we have a few more weeks of summer to enjoy.
Yep, we’ve been back a full week already. The good thing about it is that we get out of school in the last week of May.
I’ve never tried pig ears, I wonder if my dog would like them!
They are really gross looking, but my dog seems to think they’re quite tasty. Eeeww.
You start school early. We do not go back until the beginning of Sept. I wonder if Angel would like those.
Wow, the beginning of September would be wonderful. Another month of swimming all day!! When do you get out, though? We get out in May.
I homeschool so the start of the school year means the end of my free time too! But I have a few more weeks, we don’t start until after labor day.
Just by looking at our fall activity schedule, I’m worried about the very same thing! 🙁
