Mr. Savingsinseconds often channel surfs while I’m on the computer. As he scrolls through the channels, there’s a constant beeping or (even worse) profane language whenever he pauses the clicker. We don’t use that type of language in our home, and it’s disheartening to realize that there is a short list of shows we can watch as a family without hearing a swear word. Duck Dynasty is one of the few shows that we can enjoy together without concerns that the kids might walk in and overhear something inappropriate. When I had the chance to read A Robertson Family Christmas, I knew it would be just as entertaining as the show! It’s written by Miss Kay so you can imagine how cute the story is. There are a few mentions of pot and teenage sass that you might need to field if you’re giving this to a child. If you have seen the Duck Dynasty show, you’re probably familiar with the way they tease and torment each other. It’s all in good fun, and there’s always a good message at the end. I loved finding my favorite characters from the show in the book. A Robertson Family Christmas will make you smile, and will remind you of holidays you’ve spent with your family in years past. The overall story is perfect for a light weekend read.

I wonder, is this a true story about the contest that they had? It sounds interesting. Although I’d like to read it, I would give it to a friend who is a HUGE DD fan for Christmas.
I don’t think it’s a true story. Much of the story does sound like it could be authentic, though….such as the ugly Christmas sweater party.

The book sounds interesting and what a great way of showing what meeting new people can do.
The book sounds like it is a little bit of everything, sad, happy, funny and so on. I think this would be a book I truly would enjoy reading. I don’t watch Duck Dynasty but my daughter does and I’m sure she would really enjoy reading it too.
