My kids were sick often this year, and my daughter missed several days of school due to various illnesses. Her “happy noise” has always been a song, and you know that she’s feeling bad when there’s no music being played or sung. On one such sick day, I presented her with this adorable stuffed mouse, the Request a Song Mimi. The doll is the perfect size for kids to hold. She comes with a little booklet of song lyrics; although they might have familiar titles, the songs are original to Mimi. Just request the song you want to hear, and she’ll sing for you!
My little girl was feeling too sick to sing along, but she enjoyed being entertained by Mimi. She sat in the recliner, cuddled in her blanket, and listened to all of Mimi’s songs. It was nice to see her spirit brightened by this cheerful stuffed animal! It makes a great gift for anyone (no matter the age). I know some adults who would enjoy playing with Mimi! It would be fun to put this in my classroom and see how many of my students pick it up to play. One feature I’d love to see — a way to record your own songs with Mimi. It could be the Karaoke Version of Request a Song Mimi! Regardless, this is a cute toy that is sure to bring a smile to many faces.
