In my younger days, my hair was dark and thick, with a  lot of volume.   When I was very young, my parents kept my hair long and straight.  It was nearly to my hips when I finally cut it shoulder-length in my teens, then in a pixie cut as a college student.  Two kids later, hormones and age have wreaked havoc on my mane.  High-end products can help to hold my hair loss at bay, but it’s pricey and hard to justify on a regular basis.  For everyday hair maintenance, I turned to affordable Pantene products. Check out the great deal I got at Walmart on this shampoo/conditioner duo! 

Some of the Pantene selection was displayed on the endcap of our local Walmart.  These bottles were priced at $3.97, but just around the corner I found these pumped-up options for less than $2 more.  Considering that there was a $2 Pantene coupon burning a hole in my purse, I had to pick these up!  Pump dispensers are super convenient for my kids to use in the shower, and I scored these for less than $10 total. Since my daughter inherited my thick, dark hair, she’ll definitely appreciate the Pantene supply being in the shower!  Both of us punish our hair by spending time in the pool during the summer.  Pantene is just what the strands ordered.

I chose the Smooth & Sleek shampoo and conditioner because it contains Argan Oil.  The anti-frizz claim on the label caught my attention, too, because my daughter’s hair is quite prone to some frizz, as you can see from the photo below!  It was difficult to narrow down the choices; Pantene’s varieties all looked appealing.  Considering that Pantene at Walmart has a 2x money-back guarantee, it’s a risk free situation.

Skipping the conditioner step might save a few seconds in the shower, but it’s at the cost of frizzy hair.  In my experience, using a paired shampoo/conditioner set really makes a difference in my hair’s texture.  Knowing this, I layered it on thick and left it on my hair for at least 3 minutes.  As I brushed my hair after using Pantene, I could tell that that rich conditioner was already at work, making my strands feel stronger and smoother.  Plus, the scent was heavenly!
