We Knew All Along by Mina Hardy

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review. Opinions shared are mine.

We Knew All Along by Mina Hardy released on Dec. 6, 2022. I enjoyed this book (my first from this author).

This book was very entertaining, if not believable. I appreciated Jewel’s character and related to her in some ways — she was a mom just trying to make it, also trying to remember who she was as a person separate from her family.

The Nightmare Man by J. H. Markert

Disclosure: I received a copy of the book for review. Opinions shared are mine.

The Nightmare Man ended up being one of my favorite reads of 2022. It had so many elements that I enjoyed, starting with a spooky old house and some supernatural vibes that seem to infiltrate the story in the best creepy ways.

Dollywood Tasting Pass 2022

This year Dollywood in beautiful Pigeon Forge, TN received several awards and honors for being such a great theme park, and they are well deserved! We hadn’t visited for many years, but ended up going several times this year. When we visited in years past, my kids were very small and needed frequent breaks. It was so tiring to visit an amusement park. Now that they’re older and self-sufficient, it has been a joy to hang out at Dollywood! My husband and I find ourself sitting on benches (I even take a book to read). While there over the holidays, I treated myself to the Dollywood Tasting Pass. Is it worth it? Let’s take a look!

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti

I had to go back and look at what I thought about book #1 before writing this review. Turns out, I had similar feelings (3-star, kind of liked it/kind of didn’t). I appreciated getting to read this one, thanks to the publisher for giving me a copy. Opinions shared are mine.

A Sliver of Darkness by C. J. Tudor

Disclosure: Thanks to the publisher for giving me a copy of this book. Opinions shared are mine.

I love C.J. Tudor’s novels, so jumped at the chance to read this collection of short stories (big thanks to the publisher!) The author introduces each story with a peek into her inspiration, which I really enjoyed. A Sliver of Darkness has little in common with the author’s novels, other than a glimpse into her creative mind.

Egermeier’s Interactive Story Bible giveaway + Discount Code

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book for review. Opinions shared are mine.

I love it when technology becomes an educational tool! In the new Egermeier’s Interactive Story Bible, kids can learn many Bible basics in a fun, interactive way. Find it here: https://www.warnerpress.org/story-bible/

Though this is titled “Story Bible,” it’s more of a Bible story collection. Like a traditional Bible, this one presents the Bible’s stories in chronological order; however, they’re not featured in traditional Bible verse form. They’re written in child-friendly vocabulary to make it easier for young readers (ages 8 and up) to understand. I would consider as a supplement, not a replacement to, an actual Bible.
